Laser Hair Removal

hair_redu1BBL (Broad Band Light) is used with a sapphire crystal. This crystal is cooled with 4 electric cooling plates to an exact temperature. Laser or light energy is selectively absorbed by the melanin in hair follicles and converted to heat, diffusing to and injuring stem cells in the bulb and bulge. Effective hair reduction can only be achieved during the active growth phase and hair reduction is considered permanent when a significant amount of hair doesn’t return for a period of time.

Infrared energy is used to deeply heat dermal collagen while protecting the entire treated area with sapphire contact cooling. The uniform heating effectively targets the desired area and immediately stimulates collagen contraction and remodeling.

This process initiates the body’s natural healing process and a new foundation of collagen is created, resulting in a firmer, more youthful skin appearance. The full effect of skin firming treatments can be seen over several subsequent months.

Photo Rejuvenation

The light energy delivered by the BBL will gently be absorbed by the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmented lesions in the upper layers of the skin. Over the next few days the pigmented lesions will darken and fall off.

Vascular Conditions
Laser or light energy is selectively absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin resulting in heating of the blood vessels. With the correct wavelengths and fluence, the vascular lesion will be heated to above 70 oC. At that temperature, blood vessels will break down and shrink which leads to a reduction of the vascular lesion.

Photo Facial

pigmented_lesionsOne of the most popular laser treatments is the Photo Facial which eliminates sunspots and fine vessels, and also stimulates collagen. The light energy delivered by the BBL gently heats the upper layers of the skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas stimulates the skin cells to generate new collagen. This process helps restore the skin to its natural stage. In addition, the photothermal energy targets and eliminates many of the fine vessels that cause redness and the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmented lesions.
